Native Waters earth friendly ENSO bottles are biodegradable in aerobic (compost) and anaerobic (landfill) environments, breaking down through microbial action into biogases and inert humus leaving behind no harmful materials. Native Waters ENSO bottles are recyclable and can be mixed into the standard PET recycling stream.

Our earth friendly bottles are biodegradable in both landfill (anaerobic) and compost (aerobic) environments. They can even be successfully mixed right in with standard PET plastic recycling! Native Waters believes in an approach to improving our environment that addresses both recyclability and the development of environmentally friendly plastic materials. That’s why Native Waters and our partner, ENSO Bottles, are proud to introduce the first truly biodegradable, compostable, and recyclable PET plastic bottle on the market today. The Ecopure^TM additive in our earth friendly bottle was discovered by and is produced for Native Waters by our partner, ENSO Bottles. When added to the plastic manufacturing process, the Ecopure^TM additive allows our earth friendly bottle to be metabolized and neutralized on a microbial level returning to the environment as inert humus and biogases.

Our earth friendly bottle maintains the same physical properties and strength as existing PET plastic bottles, while still allowing the bottle to breakdown completely in landfills or compost piles.

The Ecopure^TM compounds used in our earth friendly bottles are FDA approved for contact with food, ASTM validated to industry standards for recycling and biodegradability, and OSHA approved as non-hazardous.
